September 1st: Ohmylanta I’m a Teacher

I woke up, sporting the purple Grumpy-the-dwarf shorts I purchased at the market for less than $2, looked in the mirror and thought, “I do not look like a teacher.  Teachers don’t wear Grumpy shorts and dance to Call Me Maybe when they get ready in the morning.”

So I just put on a good suit coat to fool the world into thinking that I was a grown up who totally knew what she was doing.  Good thing, because at teacher orientation I learned that the other foreign AP teachers are legit!  I’m surrounded by graduates from Yale, scholars with their PhD in Chemistry, and explorers who have taught all over the world and are generally really nice and friendly.  I really enjoyed getting to know them during the two days of teacher orientation.

And now!  It’s time to get down to business.  Schools starts tomorrow, and these are my feelings on the subject...

More on the Great Wall next time! :D
